MERF Scholarships Now Available Through Greater Phoenix Mensa
Greater Phoenix Mensa is pleased to announce that we are now participating
in the Mensa Education & Research Foundation (MERF) Scholarship Program.
It is an essay contest, and is open to any U.S. citizens or permanent
residents enrolled in an accredited institution of post-secondary education.
To apply for the scholarship program:
- Go to http://www.mensafoundation.org/AM/Template.cfm?Section=Scholarships1 and enter your zip code. If your zip code is in our area, you will
be able
to download an application form.
Fill in the 2 page application form and write your essay (550 word
limit). The application form has information on competition information,
required
certification, information on various available scholarships, rules
and guidelines, and what the judging will emphasize. Print the form,
then fill it out.
- If you prefer, you could also download the same
form in MS Word format,
fill it out directly on your computer, then print it. To do this, you
must have MS Word on your computer.
- Use postal mail to send your two page entry form and essay to:

Submissions must be postmarked on or before January 15, 2006.
If you do not have Web access, you may request the entry form by sending
a self addressed stamped envelope (SASE) to the address above.
