You will note that your ballot is enclosed with this issue. While the offices of LocSec (President), Assistant LocSec (Vice President), Secretary and Treasurer are uncontested, there are five people running for the three Member at Large positions. I encourage you to take out time and vote. The ballot is placed on the same piece of paper that contains the RG ad, so you can tear it out of your MAAM without losing any articles. You are also welcome to send in a facsimile of the ballot.
The other reason I wish you would consider sending in the ballot is so I can get some feedback on the MAAM. There is a lot of flexibility on how the MAAM is arranged. I have kept the format more or less the same simply because it seems to work. If there is a good reason to change anything, it can be done. The other area of feedback are the articles presented. Traditionally in most organizations the President has a column and our case the Regional Vice Chair. My column is primarily intended to inform the membership about various matters of interest. As for the other columns, I naturally think they are worthwhile and interesting or I would not run them. You feedback, however, will determine what ones we continue to run and what ones we will either phase out entirely or scale back.
