“Look at a day when you are supremely satisfied at the end. It’s not a day
when you lounge around doing nothing; it’s when you’ve had everything to do,
and you’ve done it.”
- Margaret Thatcher
The next few months are going to be important ones for Greater Phoenix Mensa.
A new Executive Committee will assume office in July and we will be
playing host to the 2002 Annual Gathering. Now is the time for GPM members to
show their mettle by rolling up their sleeves and pitching in and
volunteering to help the cause.
The 2002 Annual Gathering is shaping up to be a gangbuster. And my guess is
that for those of us who contribute, we will look back in pride for years to
come at what GPM accomplished in hosting the AG. There are still plenty of volunteer
positions that still need to be covered. Some positions require little in terms
of time and effort. Others require larger commitments.
Please contact John Perez or Carol Young to volunteer your efforts
for whatever volunteer position that you feel most comfortable.
Special thanks for the GPM members who volunteered to run for the Executive
Committee positions. And for the rest of you (the “silent majority”) don’t forget
to vote!
