Boy, is my face red! Last month when I was listing the AMC members from region 9, I omitted Judy Vasiliauskas’ name as secretary. For some reason I thought she lived in Colorado. I am so pleased to be wrong. We really do have an outstanding presence on the AMC from this region.
Speaking of the AMC, you have a golden opportunity to meet and mingle with each of them at the Inland Empire RG in Ontario, California on September 28th, 29th and 30th. I.E. puts on a spectacular RG and in addition to their regular program, they will be hosting the quarterly AMC meeting. I urge you to register and get the full benefit of this group’s efforts. If you can not spend the weekend, at least come Saturday for the meeting. There is no charge for meeting attendance only, but, if you want to partake of the hospitality you must pay as a day tripper. Ask your Loc Sec or editor for a look at the agenda or go to the Web site at www.us.mensa.org. In fact go there anyway, there is lots of good stuff to be had there.
More good news from the national office. Beginning this month, lapsed members will be able to reinstate their membership online. These members will need their membership number in order to facilitate the process. If their member number is not readily available encourage them to contact a membership representative at (817) 607-0060 ext. 199.
