A Very Mensa Thanksgiving and Christmas

by Arleen Williams

You could have spent Thanksgiving with a plain old family, just like all those other years. Or…you could have enjoyed the company of the Mensa family at Pat Hull’s place on the northwest side. It was like having a whole set of fascinating relatives you never knew. We served potluck in Pat’s tiled Southwestern home, at tables of four throughout the living and dining area. Sodas and wine served on the patio drew us out into the large backyard to enjoy a perfect afternoon and innumerable conversations.

The Christmas Party at Bill Rouse’s helped put everybody in the Holiday mood. The decorations were pretty, the food was plenty, and music filled the air. The house overflowed with people filled with varying degrees of Christmas spirit(s). And what the Christmas Carolers gathered around the piano lacked in professionalism, they more than made up with enthusiasm and spirit. Thanks Bill for hosting a fun Christmas party.

Do plan to attend the New Year’s Party.  See Calendar for more detail.
