After a summer recess, GPM’s do-it-yourself gourmet cooking SIG is ready to
start its fall season. September’s Shoestring will be hosted at the Gore residence,
and our theme will be the grilled dishes of late summer. If it’s dry and cool
enough to move out onto the patio, we will enjoy our meal there.
Grilled dishes – not just barbecue – are found in a number of different culinary
genres. We will be grilling meat, fish, vegetables, and sausage, and when you
check with us for recipes there will be a large assortment of cuisines to choose
from. Naturally, we will need the salads and desserts that go with your grilled
dishes.
We will be getting together at 6 p.m. on Saturday, September 8, at the home
of Ursula and Alan Gore. Please remember to call Ursula at 602-863-9648 by Thursday,
September 6 to coordinate dishes.
