A big thank you to Lauri Vickers for stepping in as acting Circulation Manager. She will be trying it out for size while we search for an assistant or two for cross-training purposes. I could not even begin to adequately recognize the work that Cal Vance has done in this role for many years. Also, this classy guy agreed to help for a couple more months if necessary. Cal, best wishes in your "retirement", the very best, indeed. Next month I am going to propose that anyone opting for an EMail or Fax version of MAAM will be afforded the opportunity. We will first have to handle privacy issues and may find it is not feasible. If you have any input, let me or another board member know. If we could even save 100 printed/mailed copies a month it would stabilize costs for probably 2 years. I am coasting downhill.
The first half of my iron-fisted reign has ended, meaning it will be time for others to step up to the challenge of herding the cats, or leading the Mensans, whatever. Think about nominating someone, such as yourself, for a more active role next year. Renew, Renew, Renew Renew. Please. Now. Thank you. Now is the Time . . . . . . to get out and about. Do you know they did not have televisions and VCRs during the Renaissance? They were actually entertained by, among other things, enlightening and interesting conversation. What a concept! Will I hear you at an event this month?
Regards, Mel
