Deadline for placing your name on the ballot for one of the following positions: Member at Large (3 to be elected), Recording Secretary, Treasurer, Assistant Local Secretary and Local Secretary. Terms of office are all one year. ( Nominations were entertained from the floor at the March General Meeting.)

The requirement for a petition of candidacy is being waived due to the absence of formal announced slates of officers.
May 10, 2000
Deadline for submission by candidates of combined biographical/ candidacy statements of 400 words or less for publication in the June MAAM. The time compression placed on this year’s election process has resulted in a "sense of the board" decision that the statements and ballots all be available in the June MAAM.
June 10, 2000
Deadline for receipt of official ballots by the Election Committee. Members in good standing may also vote on other than the official ballot, and with explanation, it may be accepted as official by unanimous vote of the Election Committee provided the instructions for submission of the official ballot are followed and the cause for submission is deemed legitimate by the Election Committee.
June 13, 2000
The Election Committee shall count the ballots and shall be responsible for certifying the results. A plurality of votes cast for each office shall constitute election.
Other necessary application of the bylaws will be applied if necessary and the results of balloting shall be announced in the July issue of the newsletter.
July 1, 2000
The new Executive Committee shall assume their duties.
