Candidate: Assistant LocSec

by M. Stephenie Crowley

I’ve grown up in New Mexico, lived in Phoenix for the past 20 years, and have been a Mensan for about 10 years. I currently run Nova Marketing Group with my spouse and partner, creating direct response, copy-writing, and advertising design.

I’ve been involved in volunteer organizations for years, including Girl Scouts, Radio for the Blind, and Mensa. I have been Editor of Much Ado About Mensa for the past four or five years, and was co-chair of this year’s Phoenix RG.

Statement:

Most of you know my philosophy about Mensa through my editorial policy in MAAM: GPM is an organization created to serve its members. The position of Asst. LocSec has been very ably filled by Jerry Corbin for the past two years, and I hope to continue in his tradition of support and advocacy. An important duty is finding speakers for the Forum, and with my long tenancy in Phoenix, and building upon the existing database of speakers from Jerry, I think I can keep Mensans entertained, challenged, and interested in attending.

As of this writing, no one else has stepped forward to run for this office, and I sincerely hope that another member from our 800-plus group will be interested enough to run, too – and give our membership a choice in who is elected to the Board.
