While you are busy signing up for activities, do not forget CultureQuest. You need to get your team registered by March 15. This is a lot of fun an is an opportunity to raise some extra money for your local scholarships. Your LocSec has information and an entry form.

March is renewal time. You must have your membership paid up by the end of the month to be able to vote in the National and International elections and to take part in CultureQuest. Renewing in time will also help your group with the Group of the Year awards. Oh, the shame, if your group missed an award because you were late sending in your dues.

Let me tell you a story. Many years ago, a lay-preacher was invited to take the service at a small country church. He accepted the invitation and took his young son with him. The congregation was small and the people were poor. They had no fund to pay the preachers but they had a donation box near the door. The lay-preacher dropped a dollar in the box. After the service, when the lay-preacher had shaken hands with everybody and the caretaker was locking up, he gave the lay-preacher the contents of the box - one dollar. The young son could see that his father was a bit disappointed. He said to his father, "You had put more in, you would have got more out."

Mensa is a do-it-yourself organization. If you do not see an activity you like on the program, organize one. Take part in the activities above and those of your local group. Vote in the elections. Run for office or volunteer for an appointed position. If you put more into Mensa you will get more out of Mensa.
