Forum: UFOs; Reality or Fantasy?

Friday, Sept. 10th at 7:00 PM

Although reports of strange objects in the sky go back since mankind first studied the heavens, the number of reported sightings seems to have increased dramatically in the last 50 years. Some UFO enthusiasts would argue that the increase in sightings reflects the heightened activity of visiting alien beings. Many skeptics would argue that the increase in reported sightings and abductions has more to do with our changing cultural awareness and peoples' perceptions.

No matter which camp you identify with, the September Forum will give you a chance to share your views. If you have seen a UFO, you will be encouraged to share your story. If you are a skeptic, you will be given the opportunity to ask questions. In either case, please come with an open mind and be prepared to listen as well as speak.

The speaker for the September Forum is Paul Cook, Ph.D. He is a Senior Lecturer at ASU and teaches courses in creative writing and Science Fiction. In addition, he is member of MUFON (Mutual UFO Network), a published Science Fiction author, and a Classical Music critic. Please join us for what should prove to be an interesting evening.

To get to AutoNation, take the Ray Road exit off I-10 East, turn left over the freeway on Ray, then turn left at the first road (54th Street), go one block and turn left on Orchard. The Post-Forum discussion will be at Keegans only a few blocks away.
