Asilomar XXXV - Bubbles |
Friday, 3 September 1999 through Monday, 6 September 1999
A weekend of fun, relaxation, unbridled thoughts of brightly glistening BUBBLES. You are cordially invited to the 1999 Asilomar -- a weekend of "good" champagne, bubble baths, and lots of blowing.
This is the gathering for romantics, dreamers, thinkers, for those who love to party. We’ll have . . . sparkling wine, brewmasters/beer tasting, fun and games with bubbles galore, interesting speakers/programs, along with the old-time favorites Casino/Dance, Auctions, etc.
So save your breath, practice your pucker (you know: just put your lips together and blow), prepare for the magic, and come toast our mascot "Bubbles" the Pink Elephant.

Mark Twain once said, "The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated". Mensa’s annual frolic at Asilomar has also been honored with some premature mourning. The past several years we have had some cause for concern, as Asilomar’s facilities management and policies changed. Our party is still very much in healthy high gear, though. Over 140 participates from last year’s event, have already pre-registered for BUBBLES.
To spend Labor Day Weekend on the beautiful Monterey Peninsula, at the longest running gathering, mail $150 deposit to Mensa Asilomar: Adele Satterfield, 421-H Cork Harbour Circle, Redwood City, CA 94065.
There is an earlier cut-off date for final payment and registration, but Friday is now part of the main event and rooms will be assigned throughout the weekend, unchanged.
