RG Update |
New speaker added: an expert who says he has all the documentation we would want about the real lowdown on the heroin and cocaine trade in America. Dum-de-dum-dum!
The best RGs I’ve attended have had Speaker Sitters – volunteers getting the room ready, assembling materials, and ensuring the timely arrival of a speaker. I’ve done it, and it’s fun, so how about you? We could also use an Organizer for Speaker Sitters. Call me at 264-9321.
And if you know someone who would like to speak or give a workshop, call Program Chair Pat Edwards at 777-2502. We plan to have three events going at all times, with the most popular ones repeated to avoid frustration, and time between each to avoid the "bum’s rush" we all know and hate.
To tempt prospective speakers, we’re offering free RG registration to them and their SOs for the whole day. That includes the two buffet meals we’ve planned, so unless they decide to stay at the hotel or go out to eat, the whole day will be free for them!
Do you like bargains? Then don’t miss the MERF auction after the Awards Brunch on Jan. 17, Sunday. We’ve got a very persuasive GPMer calling businesses for donations – who knows what we’ll get! If you have a precious white elephant (no real junk, please; it must have some value), you can get a tax deduction by donating it to the MERF auction. Call Esther Shaw at 515-5040.
See you at the RG!
