We have a nice balance geographically for February's Soiree and Salon, from west of I-17 off Greenway to down south in Chandler. If you bemoan parties being too far from your home, the solution is simple: have the party come to you! Call me at 264 9321 to select a date for a party at your house.
On February 7th we will celebrate Valentine’s Day at the home of Pat Hull, but in a clever new way. Instead of all the hearts and flowers of lovers, we will express our love for our fellow human beings; in particular, the families at the CASS family shelter for the homeless.
CASS does a wonderful job of keeping families together and putting them into homes that they can afford. They will accept anything you may like to donate for this purpose. Since they receive all the clothing they need, and since furniture is so hard to transport, we would like attendees at our Valentine’s Day Soiree to bring a piece of kitchen equipment of any kind that you can do without in your kitchen, and Pat will deliver them for us. Pots and pans are of particular value, but they need everything. This will be in addition to the particapatory buffet and beverage and the $4 for the owl.
To get to Pat's house, first get yourself to I-17 and Greenway. From there drive west to 35th Avenue and north a quarter mile or so to Marconi. Then you go east three blocks to the second cul de sac on your left and her house will be at 10 o'clock as you enter the circle. The address is 3328 W. Marconi. Lost souls can call her at 863 4855.
Our Salon on the 21st will be hosted by Bill Taylor at the home of Chris Storms in Chandler and he will write his own article with directions, so please look for it within these pages. I just love their theme!
