Sarcastic Robots, Harley-Davidson, and Bill Rouse is 39!

By Robert J. Lehnert

Come one and all to the November 15th Salon, Hosted by Mensa member Robert James Lehnert at he and his wife Rita's home at 1213 East Yucca in north Phoenix. The theme of the party is dedicated to our own Bill Rouse, who is turning 39 that day. Suggested tributes include dressing in Mystery Science Theater 3000 clothing or costumes (Robot costumes made of aluminum cans & plates, as well as trashed sports equipment, should be do-able and CHEAP!), or wearing any Harley-Davidson apparel. If you actually have a H-D "Hog", by all means ride it on up here. Those who choose not to wear either MST3K or H-D wear will still be welcomed, but at least bring some salsa or hot sauce!

The salon will begin at 5:00 PM and will continue to the wee hours. We will provide a main hot dish, maybe gumbo, maybe chili. Some soft drinks and chips will be available, otherwise bring please something to share. Our Owl, Augustus Plasticus, will be accepting suggested donations of $2 per attendee. Dogs and Cats live on premises, smoking is allowed in the back yard. Handicapped accessible.

HOW TO GET HERE: Take 7th Street North of Dunlap or South of Thunderbird to Peoria. At the stoplight, head East on Peoria to 12th Street, take a left, heading North for about a half mile (one sizable hill to go over). Yucca is the next-to-last street before you dead-end against North Mountain Preserve. 1213 East Yucca is the second house from the corner of 12th and Yucca, on the South side. We will have a sign up on our lamppost. Parking is allowable on either Yucca or 12th street, just be sure to not to block any driveways. Our driveway will be reserved for our vehicle AND guest's motorcycles, whether they are Harley-Davidsons or not.

So come on up, salute Bill's final year in his thirties, and maybe shout wisecracks at some turkey movies we will be showing. (Hmmm...maybe a bad Biker movie???)
