Lucky us! Since May has five Saturdays, we get to have three parties instead of two. On the third of May, Vickie Hurst will have the Soiree: her theme is Cinco de Mayo (yum yum). She has written her own article for us, which includes directions on how to get there. Roxanne Dillie will host our Salon on the 17th, when we will be able to celebrate Mother’s Day. She and her family live at 4716 West Crittenden Lane, which is one street north of Osborn. It’s about four blocks east of 51st Avenue, which happens to be an I-10 exit.
Our Shindig will be hosted by Jim Price on the 31st. He has a hot tub, so remember to take a towel. His home is in Chandler, at 1618 North Comanche Drive. From the Superstition Freeway (60) take the Alma School exit south past Warner. Turn right at the second street (Calle del Norte), go five blocks and turn right again at Comanche. Jim’s is the fifth house on the left.
Our June Soiree will be at the home of the irrepressible Bill Rouse on the seventh. He has chosen to have a chili cookoff, so get your recipe out and plan your strategy early. The competition has been keen in the past.
