My name is Bob Cox. Perhaps you have met me or know of me. I have been active in Mensa for many years. I am currently editor of the Borderline Mensa M-Bassador and won The Owl (Small Group) last year. I served for four years as RVC Region 8. I am now a candidate for RVC Region 9.
The position of RVC is an important and demanding one. It requires a special type of person who can work cooperatively with the Local Groups, their officers and members to see that the membership is getting the most for its money. The RVC must be dedicated and responsive, and be able to resolve disputes and solve problems without offending our volunteers. As RVC for Region 8 for four years, I have shown that I have the necessary qualities for this position.
An RVC is also a member of the AMC. As such I will represent you and your needs to the governing body of American Mensa. I have worked with many of those who will be on the incoming AMC. I also attended the Personal And Company Effectiveness (PACE) training program to help me do an even better job as a member of AMC. While at the training program I got to know most of the other incoming officers.
I will be prepared to serve you as RVC and AMC member right from taking office since I already know what the job entails and understand the people I will be working with. I pledge to be the most effective RVC I can be and ask for your vote.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Bob
