The Forum

Our monthly lecture meeting is always held on a Friday evening early in the month in the same place, currently the Los Olivos Senior Center.

The Forum features an outside speaker on a subject of current interest. Some Forums are political, others scientific, and some cover such 'third rail' subjects as religion. If you attend a Forum, be prepared for highly charged debate on some topics.

A tradition of Forum night is the 'post-Forum debriefing', in which we invite the speaker to a small eating place nearby for informal discussion. Even if the speaker has to leave immediately after the talk, the attendees will usually hold 'debriefing' anyway to discuss the topic among themselves.
