About Mensa

International, National and Local

Mensa is an international society with one single criterion for membership a score on a standardized IQ or other recognized standardized test in the highest two percent of the general population. Mensa makes it possible for you to meet people at your intellectual level ... to exchange ideas, debate issues, party hearty, and of course, make new friends.

So Many Activities!

Events and presentations ... Special Interest Group get-togethers ... STEM stuff ... talky stuff ... music stuff ... and so much more; all of it fun stuff. Always check The GPM Live Web Calendar.

Who joins Mensa?

Mensa is an amazing cross-section ... we have members who joined at age 3 and 103! It's a mix of all economic levels, occupations, lifestyles and interests. Doesn't matter who you are, you'll find members who share your enthusiasms. (Yes, even that one.)

Is Mensa for-Profit?

No. It's a not-for-profit society. Its stated purposes are to identify and foster human intelligence for the benefit of humanity; to encourage research into the nature, characteristics and uses of intelligence; and to provide a stimulating intellectual and social environment for its members.

Join Us!

Mensa members come from every imaginable economic level, occupation and interest area. Around the world, Mensans have just this one thing in common: intelligence. Which makes us a pretty bright and fun bunch to be with.

So no matter what you think, what you do, how you believe or how you vote ... join us! We always welcome new members to enrich our wide diversity of abilities, interests and opinions!

Who or What Will I Be Joining?

You will be joining American Mensa Limited (AML), which also gives you access to Mensa International. Your actual membership contact will be with your local group (in our case, Greater Phoenix Mensa). If you move to another city, your AML membership will be just as good with the local group there.
